Interesting to read and well explained. I do believe that companies are not equipped for the challenge. I also beleive that they are not prepared for the complex world of IT. And as you stated fines have an huge negative financial impact on companies. But I think that consumers are still not yet aware of these facts and this might just give some time to take measures and mitigate risks.
